I made it to the Pikom PC Fair as planned, accept that I woke up a little late. Thanks to Azam who managed to wake me up by repeatedly calling me many times.

Technology wise, theren’t anything new, now days you get the same old thing that we see the previous PC Fairs. I was more interested in the PC Babes :). But unfortunately, there weren’t many, and those who were there are not my taste. It seems that every year, the PC Babes are becoming younger and younger. I’m not sure whether these girls are employed legally.

This time they featured alot of DSLR and Digital Cameras, I found the dual screen cameras interesting.

iPhone 4 Review

A colleague of mine suggested that I talk about the newly launched iPhone 4g that is the in thing at the moment. The first day it was launched, 1 million pieces were sold. But the same time it was launched, a couple of hours later the Disadvantage list appeared everywhere online. So let’s see what’s so good about this iPhone 4.

FaceTime

This is a feature of the latest iPhone 4 where you can have a video call with your network. The advantage is that you can connect to any wireless internet network and instantly call your friends without needing to cost you anything. Intereting.

Two cameras, two view

iPhone 4 has two cameras. One on the front, which focuses on you. And one on the back, which focuses on everything else. FaceTime lets you switch back and forth between them at any time during a video call. All you have to do is tap a button.

Retina Display

The Retina display on iPhone 4 is the sharpest, most vibrant, highest-resolution phone screen ever, with four times the pixel count of previous iPhone models. In fact, the pixel density is so high that the human eye is unable to distinguish individual pixels. Which makes text amazingly crisp and images stunningly sharp.

Multitasking

iPhone 4 introduces a whole new way of multitasking. Now you can run your favorite third-party apps and switch between them instantly without slowing down the performance of the foreground app or draining the battery unnecessarily.

HD Video Recording

The iPhone 4 takes video in High Definition (HD), there is also a software to edit HD Videos. You’ll need to download an application iMovie for this feature, and yes, you have to pay extra for it.

5MP camera with LED flash

Finally some sense into the creator of iPhone. The older versions came without the flash, which was a pain in the neck. Disappointingly, they only made it 5MP, instead of most smart phones which are now up to 12MP.

I’m currently looking at a good DSLR camera. The one I’m using now belongs to my mum, which is a Sony Cybershot. The photos taken with it are quite impressive, you can check them out at www.thristhan.com. My uncle once convinced me that it’s not the tool that is important, it’s the person who’s taking the photographs and his skills at framing a photo which is much more important. I do agree with him strongly.

I still remember for my 12th Birthday, my parents bought me a camera (well, also because I did quite well at the exams). It was a standard film camera that ran with 2 AA batteries. It had a flash also. The photo quality used to be bad, the color the camera tooked was not impressive, but it did teach me alot on the angles that you should consider in photography. My dad also had alot of books on photography which I spend days checking them out (well, have to admit that the nude girls in there motivated me).

The more I’m interested in photography, the more sensitive I become in the photographs that I take. I become more fussy and realise that the color in certain photos is not as good as a DSLR camera can capture. With that, I’m planning to purchase a good equipment for my photography. Will start with a Camera body and Standard Lense.

A friend suggested that as a beginner, I should try Sony Alpha ranges. But I thought if I’m going to invest in a good camera, might itself go for a better range. So with all the advertising I see on TV and reviews on YouTube, I’ve decided that the Canon EOS 550d is a good DSLR camera to start with.

Before I proceed with purchasing this camera, I would like to hear from you guys whether this is a good choice. I roughly know the benefits of the Canon EOS 550d, Looking forward to some bad reviews on it that will be my deciding factor.

My colleague gave me this 2 keychains, they seemed interesting. There’s a tiny card that come along with it, so I’m guessing that you can present it. There are also diamond looking studs that is stuck in the keychain. Well, might wanna look for a supplier and expend my products to keychain too :).

Google AdWord

Wow, Google sent me a letter yesterday through a registered post. At first glance, I though it had something to do with my AdSense. They are giving away RM150 for me to start my campaign. Little do they know that I am already running a campaign under a different username.

From my experience, RM150 can be used within a week or two, easily. Their marketing strategy is that all users have to register with a Credit Card, and once the RM150 finishes, it will automatically charge your credit card straight away. You can opt to stop for the advertisements by pausing the ads. Currently I’ve allocation RM400 per month for google ads under my other company, namely PrintingStudio.com.my. It is generating alot of traffic to my website, but not enough to break even every month. Google AdWord is not something that I would use for a very long period as it is quite costly. You should use it probably for a new launch of your products.

Rather than using Google AdWord consistently, you should consider SEO (Search Engine Optimization) where your ranking on google can increase to the first page. We are also experts in this field and have been doing so for a few years now. I always challenge my clients, if you found my website through Google, I can get others to find your website on google too. Below are the brochures and letter that I received from google.com.
