Best Weblog in Malaysia

I do read and follow many bloggers online with their interesting articles. My favourite topics would be information technology, gadgets and designing. But there is one particular blogger that concentrates more on political issues and latest happenings in Malaysia. He is Dr. Mahathir Mohamad, Prime Minister of Malaysia 1981 - 2003.

He started with his blog in early May 2008 and within a month, he managed to receive a hit of 1 million visitors. This is a phenomenal. We at webthrisblog.com only received 181,000 visitors for the 1st year that it was running. The initial website link for Mahathir’s weblog was www.chedet.com.

After nearly 1 year running chedet.com, the domain was bought over by another party, most probably Mahathir forgot to renew the domain name. And because of this, Mahathir was supposed to pay a huge sum to gain ownership of that domain name.

As a dedicated writer and famous blogger, he did not bother to repurchasing the domain name but instead registered for another one namely www.chedet.cc. This blog is currently live and he is receiving millions after millions of visitors each month.

My question when he first launched such a successful website was, why didn’t he use advertising links (especially Google Adsense) to generate income. If he’s receiving millions of visitors, surely a few percentage of them would click on these advertisements and gain him income. I realised that in the new website, www.chedet.cc, he has accepted many advertisers and probably is making a few bucks here and there.

I’m not into politics at all, but after reading www.chedet.cc articles, I started to be interested in it a little. Mahathir writes his articles straightforwardly without hiding anything. His words are of wisdom and to me this is the Best Weblog in Malaysia.

Amazing Paper Creations & Foldings

I managed to get hold of a set of photos that are of papers being cut and shaped into complicated designs. It seems that they only use one sheet of paper (whether big or small) to create the sculpture. I uploaded them on my other blog, namely www.thristhan.com.

Webthris Online Order Portal

We reliased that many customers are having problem making an order on our website. Currently they have to view the desrciptions on the www.webthris.com website, click on pricing and so on. Once they are happy, they are suppose to send an email to us. Which we will then send them the confirmation and payment details.

We are now working on an online portal where our clients can order the particular item, upload their design immediately and receive a confirmation on a click of a button. This saves time for the client and speeds up the ordering process.

Webthris Creative Studio would also be more organised as all details are captured into a database. We are looking for the most suitable domain name to use for this online store. Whether it’s a first level domain name, or a sub-domain, we would like you to suggest some options. Below are some of the names we came up with.

• www.store.webthris.com
• www.webthris2u.com

We just started structuring the online store and should take us roughly 2 months to complete. We are targeting to launch the Webthris online store somewhere in September 2009.
